Today the skipper spotted his first juvenile humpback whale 12 nm off Point Cartwright, followed shortly after by another pod of 2 whales, all performing for over an hour today with some frantic Tail Slapping, Peduncle Throws, Breaching, Pec Fin Slapping, Fluke up Dives and very Close Encounters. All onboard were enthralled with the playful whales. The seas were a little joggily with a 15kt breeze & 1m swell.
The last 5 days straight the weather has been kind to us and we’ve had 100% sightings. A great start to the season.
