We followed a total of 13 on Whale One this morning, but there were plenty more around in perfect conditions. A mother and calf entertained everyone on board with breaching, peduncle throws and pectoral fin slapping from the calf who was learning some tricks from the adult whales. Also plenty of breeches from some adult whales a little further away.
This afternoon Wayne the skipper reported more whale action only 3 mile offshore. After following a mother and calf for a while a pod of Bottle nosed dolphins came bouncing over. They were very playful as dolphins always are. The seam to enjoy the interaction with the whales as well. The sea conditions were just perfect and more breaching was sighted by the passengers behind us.
