Monday 3 October – too many whales to count.
Whale One and her crew sailed out with cloudy skies this morning. Coming across a pod of whales playing only 3 nautical miles of Point Cartwright. This slap happy pod of 4 were giving some nice viewing for the passengers.
Cruising along #whaleone came across another pod breaching a little further out with the calf giving a full breach. Another 2 were head lunging & breaching. Four other pods around the boat and another 2 pods were sighted on the way back to dock.
Seas were calm with a slight swell.
The afternoon was another great trip with 3 pods of Mother, calf & escort. Fluke up dives and so close in they were nearly kicking on the waves at Buddina Beach.
