***Afternoon report 13 WHALES!!!!***
The skipper said “this may have been the best day this season”.
6 pods of 13 whales on our afternoon trip today and there was so much activity we didn’t know where to look!
Whales were breaching, pectoral slapping and peduncle throwing everywhere!
We also had some great close encounters with the boat.
Lot’s of mothers and calves around and we also had a mother, calf and escort pod hanging around too.
It must have been something in the water because the whales were going off!
Just toward the end of our cruise we got a big finale of mum double pec slapping, escort peduncle throwing and the calf tail slapping all RIGHT BESIDE THE BOAT!
