What a thrill of a day! The weather was adventurous, the whales were energetic and friendly! About 5 miles off the coast we ran into our first pod of mother and calf, participating in feeding and bonding rituals. After about half an hour of viewing, our calf started breaching and engaging in playful activities. Mother followed in the series of breaches also showing us her beautiful pectoral fins in some slapping action and the calf with some serious peduncle throws and tail slaps! The highlight of the day had to be the amazing synchronized breach by mum and calf – had all the guests screaming and very happy to see! What a show hey, another awesome day at the whale highway-
and all the crew feel they are lucky enough to come out and see it all again tomorrow.
